Minimum Requirements The individual appointed in this role will have a minimum of 10 years environmental management experience gained both in the mining industry and elsewhere, excellent report writing and communication skills, an in depth understanding of environmental management procedures and principles and an appropriate post graduate qualification. SACNASP registration will be an advantage.

Environmental Project Manager

Position Environmental Project Manager
Type Permanent
Purpose Manage multiple projects with a project management approach, consistency across projects, ensuring quality of output. Utilizing project management tools to keep abreast of the scope, budget and timeframe of each project and to make sure project details are updated on a daily basis. Active liaison with specialists, environmental clients, government officials and subcontractors. Report writing, evaluate reports and verification of data input received from relevant others, in concurrence with Environmental manager HOD. Design field investigations, organise data interpretation, evaluate and design remedial actions and report preparation Design, review and reporting of environmental investigations for environmental impact assessments Develop environmental management plans and monitor programs and progress Environmental legislation understanding and obtaining regulatory project approvals In conjunction with MT staff, Coordinate public participation processes where relevant
Minimum Requirements Relevant post graduate qualification. Minimum of 5 years experience within the environmental field of which 2 years should be in the mining industry.
Experience A very good understanding of EIA processes within various industries
